The Steel Tongue Drum is a melodic drum tuned to the pentatonic scale, in the key of A Minor. It has a melodic reach of more than an octave.

This instrument is often played with the included drum sticks, but can also be played by flicking your thumbs on the drum, which will produce a slightly different sound.

Because the instrument is tuned to the pentatonic scale, all notes will blend together beautifully. It is rewarding to improvise, and create various soundscapes with combinations of the available tones.
